Huntsman Cancer Institute – Community Champions Program

Supports trusted community leaders in leading local cancer prevention and screening education activities across the Mountain West, including Idaho. Participants receive training, networking opportunities, access to cancer experts, compensation for trainings, and funding support for community activities.

Eligible applicants include community leaders with a passion for health and wellness who have personal experience with cancer, such as survivors, caregivers, family members of someone living with cancer, Community Health Workers, students, or other cancer advocates.


Orientation: One-day orientation in Salt Lake City, Utah by June 30, 2026, with expenses paid
Activity Timeline: At least one cancer prevention or screening activity completed by June 2027

American Cancer Society Food and Nutrition Mini Grant

Supports nonprofit community-based organizations, cancer centers, and FQHCs in implementing programs that improve access to healthy foods and healthy eating for cancer prevention and cancer survivorship.

Funder: American Cancer Society

 

Award Amount: $2,000 to $10,000

 

Grant Period: September 1, 2026 to February 28, 2027

 

Eligible Applicants: Nonprofit community-based organizations,

cancer centers, and FQHCs

 

Focus Areas: Cancer prevention, cancer survivorship, food access, nutrition education, healthy eating, caregiver support

 

Application Deadline: July 10, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. MT

 

Description:
The American Cancer Society Food and Nutrition Mini Grant supports programs that improve opportunities to access healthy foods and healthy eating for cancer prevention and cancer survivorship. Funded programs may support individuals and families in making healthier food choices to reduce cancer risk, or support cancer survivors, patients, and caregivers with nutrition education, access to nutritious foods, and resources that support recovery, quality of life, and survivorship.

Programs should educate participants about the connection between healthy eating and cancer risk, healthy eating to support cancer survivorship, nutrition and food preparation, and where to access affordable healthy foods in the community.

Idaho Society of Clinical Oncology (ISCO) Community Grants

Supports Idaho-based nonprofit programs that benefit cancer patients and their families. Funding may support patient services, supportive care programs, and other initiatives aligned with improving cancer care in Idaho. Grants are reviewed on a rolling basis, with awards up to $10,000.

CAP Foundation See, Test & Treat® Grant

Funder: College of American Pathologists Foundation
Application Period: June 18 to September 4, 2026
Funding Amount: Up to $20,000 for single-year funding. Eligible repeat grantees may apply for multiyear funding up to $50,000 over three years.
Eligibility: Board-certified pathologists, in partnership with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, may apply to support programs taking place in the United States.
Opportunity Type: Cancer screening, early detection, health education, health equity

 

Description:
The CAP Foundation See, Test & Treat® Grant supports pathologist-led screening and health education programs for medically underserved communities. Funded programs provide free cervical cancer screening plus at least one additional screening, with prompt results, connection to follow-up care, interpretive services, health education, and translated educational materials. The program is intended to reduce barriers to care, support prevention and early detection, and connect patients to ongoing care within their communities.

Application Requirements Include:
Applicants should be prepared to submit a 501(c)(3) number, letters of support, three potential program dates, a program budget, and a detailed implementation plan.
